Question: How does the Servo 3000 work to improve press register and lower material waste?
Answer: Using an encoder signal the Servo 3000 breaks each press revolution into millions of parts. Following this signal the Servo 3000 feeds the precise amount of material into the press, part by part.
As a result registration is never really lost. This is why running waste is nearly eliminated, i.e. the cross hairs don’t move, and waste due to press restart is limited to the amount of material in the press, i.e. when the plates come on impression the lost material is from the first color.
